INTER MEDIARY SERVICE PROVIDERS VOCATIONAL TRAINING KICK OFF.
A vocational training on inter mediatory service providers in Agri-allied sectors is being organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Papumpare, Karsingsa for Rural educated & Unemployed youths under the sponsorship of Agricultural Technology Mission Agency (ATMA), Department of Agriculture, here on 17th Feb 2014. The said training will continue till 25th of February covering different subjects of different agri-allied sectors including Entrepreneurship development. The said training on service providers was inaugurated by Shri Pama Bagang Circle Officer, Banderdewa amidst of team officers from Agri-Allied sectors and panchayat leaders at Karsingsa. In his keynote address he praised the innovative initiative taken up by the KVK Papumpare and enthused upon the inquisitive participants to be attentive during the training and spread the knowledge gained on latest technological interventions to others fellow farmers. He also stressed importance of agri-allied sectors as the back bone of the rural economy for development in our society and learning through such vocational training on service providers would be more meaningful for our rural mass. Earlier, Dr. T. Heli, Programme Coordinator(KVK , Papumpare) while welcoming all the dignitaries and participants in the training, inform that there is a need for building up of service providers at a village level wherein the extension services and delivery supports of the departmental agents is not able to reach far flung villages. He inform that the participating trainees are selected by the different farmers groups of different localities of the papumpare district with the criteria of – able to read and write, settled in the village and interest to learn &render services to the fellow farmers. Further, he informed that these service providers could serve as the departmental agent in their respective villages for the cause of the farming community. He also envisioned the anticipated outcome of such trainees that living in their own village and rendering the needs of their fellow farmers, one can earn a margin amount in the form of honaria for their services and also they could be community mobilize by serving as a hinge between the department and their fellow farmers in their village. Mrs. Kipa Uruni ZPM, Karsingsa-Banderdewa segment gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honour highlighted the extensive contribution of the KVk Papumapre and expressed the need of such training for the rural progressive farmers. She informed that livestock sector has a major contribution in our economic developmental and enthused upon the participants to gain the knowledge disseminated during this training by the team of SMS of this Kendra as well as from the various resource persons of the line department. Further, she pleaded for provision of subsidy schemes from the departments to these participating trainees for their encouragement and opt for livelihood opportunities in Agri-Allied sectors. Dr. Tachi Taku, Deputy Director (Planning) while giving introductory address highlighted the importance of the livestock sector for the rural farmers as ATM. He advised the participants to be more attentive and complete the entire course of training and be a perfect service provider for fellow farmers as the manpower in the Govt. departments are limiting factor at present to caters the need of ever increasing population. Shri Joram Tako District Agriculture Officers (DAO), Yupia, who chaired the entire session of the inaugural function appreciated the initiatives taken by KVK, Papumpare and expressed the need for such more trainings in different localities for augmenting the crop and livestock productivities of the farming community in the state.
