Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) functions as an important link between agricultural research institutions and the farming community. The primary mandate of KVK is to assess, refine, and demonstrate agricultural technologies for improving farm productivity and livelihoods in a sustainable manner.

KVK Papum Pare is committed to strengthening capacity building of farmers, farm women, rural youth, and extension functionaries through need-based training programmes, front line demonstrations, on-farm trials, and extension activities. Emphasis is laid on promoting climate-resilient agriculture, efficient resource management, and adoption of location-specific technologies.

The KVK continuously works in close coordination with line departments, research organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure effective dissemination of scientific knowledge and technologies at the field level. Special focus is given to enhancing farmers’ income, ensuring food and nutritional security, and encouraging youth participation in agriculture and allied sectors.
